But after a while we noticed that the same amount 230 was charged from the card! I contacted support and they said, driver reported we didn’t pay!
How we supposed to be protected in this situation? What proof should we provide to prove that we actually paid in cash?
This driver is a scammer, and grab did nothing about it! Ответить

Add on. You call taxi, driver doesn’t go and doesn’t answer, you cancel. Then another driver goes opposite direction and app lies about arrival time, shown time is impossible, too long to wait, you cancel. Then same problem again. Then your account is locked, you can’t call taxi anymore. You are stuck in foreign city without a transport. And all of this happens in Kuala Lumpur center with tons of drivers around and “plus” rate. Ответить

Basically if you’re foreigner you can pay only in cash, which is uncomfortable and not applicable for food delivery. Ответить

There are always 0 drivers and the orders are cancelled 90% of the time. There is no live support and support articles are worthless. You have to spin a 10-20% roulette if you’ll ever get your food every time you use the app. And the worst part is - you can’t even cancel the order yourself if it’s unable to find a driver! You have to wait the whole 20-30 mins before the order cancels itself, otherwise you’re at risk of having to pay for multiple orders.

And I’m not even mentioning screws in the UI/UX and all the other inconveniences I had while using Grab. Ответить

Everything here is made for you to pick priority delivery (~9$) otherwise the chances to get your food are very slim. But that’s not the worst part. Imagine you ordered food with a standard delivery, which is also pretty expensive, and you’re waiting for your order to be sent to kitchen. You are waiting for 20, 30, 40 mins. But it’s still NOT placed, meaning the restaurant not only hasnt started cooking but also can cancel your order any time without any penalties. But you can’t:) you can’t cancel it, you can’t order sth else from another place, because there’s still a chance that they prepare your initial order. You can only wait while starving, isn’t it nice? The cancellation option only appears ~an hour after waiting, before that there’s almost a mocking system “check if you can cancel” which ALWAYS says you can’t since the second you place the order because it’s programmed that way. And the best part, you can’t reach out to a real person, the support is only a bot and you have several answer options. I love it when the only option is “okay”. Still have something to ask, is there still an issue? Sorry, you don’t have a right to even voice it, choose “okay” and go away. There’s literally no way of reaching out to a normal support regarding staff like that and it freaks me out. Overall it’s extremely unpleasant and every time I use the app I experience negative emotions.

To developers: if you think that it can’t be done in other ways, check out other countries analogies. For example, “delivery” and “yandex food”. They somehow manage not to have these absurd problems even though they operate both in much bigger and smaller places than Singapore. Ответить

If cancelling order - they charge you and not paying the difference in the next order. If driver is stupid and doesn’t deliver your order in time - they charge you twice. I love that Grab also listens to the customers ❤️ Just a few months ago drivers didnt warn you about using a highway until you had to pay for it and now they ask if you want to pay extra for it at the start of the trip. Its great to see the company i caring about user experience like that Ответить

So.. Nowadays you should pay “additional charges” for some locations, for example airport..

And moreover.. You can walk 100 meters away.. You will see “normal” rates for this area.. But its absolutely impossible to book a driver.. Due to all of them dont want get your order by normal price.. All want “additional” charges..

So.. For example, grab suggest me to get TukTuk (its a crazy bike for 2-3 passengers) instead of 4-passengers comfortable SUV.. and the SUV rate is 140 thb. TukTuk 150 thb.

Drivers usually don’t have change.

So if you stay at some good hotel it’s easier to ask for a taxi than use this app - either way you have to use cash.

My first trip with grab bike ends with head to head collision with another scooter. Grab car and forget about bikes, jump from the high roof instead, if you have to. Ответить

Сгонять за 100 рублей в другой квартал города, съездить с комфортом куда угодно - просто праздник! Сводится к минимуму общение с таксистами. Правда и тут они умудряются накосячить: указана конкретная точка, но они могут ждать за углом, например. Из 10-ти поездок, 2 - точно не там подбирали где надо. Но отвозили точно туда, куда нужно. The problem now is that I can’t log in to the app. Doesn’t allow me to use my email again, even if there is a button to enter with a google account. Maybe the combination of email and phone is unique and mandatory to enter. But it’s quite stupid imho. Don’t want to create another email box just to use the app if only my phone number has changed. I had to cancel rides and now I got $31 blocked on my GrabPay account and can’t use. There is not way to contact support from the app, only stupid FAQ links that don’t explain why GrabPay was locked and how to unlock it. The app is getting worse, you need to do something about it, guys. Ответить

Ordered taxi from airport, the driver came, but didn’t enter the airport and wanted us to walk over 500 meters with two kids, 4 bags, and didn’t want to help us. Cancelled it, but spent an extra hour waiting and looking for the taxi. Ordered to go from hotel to the airport a day ahead. The driver was late almost an hour. Cancelled, as another taxi came faster than grab. I Don’t recommend grab to anyone. Ответить

I cannot change the language in the app. I cannot pay by credit card because of some error. Grab doesn’t do anything to improve service. So they bought Uber, and now service will be even more awful. E.g. it was displayed that I have to wait for 3 minutes & I waited for 10 min. After I cancelled those bookings (it happened 3 times), they didn’t allow me to book a cab and pay with cash, only with credit card. Very disappointing. Ответить

Поговорила с водителем, сказал что утром приедет. Утром в 7.15 открыла приложение и вижу, что водитель далеко от меня и двигается в другую сторону. Звоню - он говорит, что типа не знает куда ехать, хотя вчера он все знал и в приложении все видно точно с адресом. Врет, короче. Переключает меня на оператора, которая толком ничего сказать не может, договорились, что отменю это бронирование и сделаю новое. Но система НЕ дает отменить бронирование и соответственно невозможно было сделать новое. Операторы или мычали в трубку, говорили на невнятном английском. Пришлось выйти на улицу и искать такси, что утром не так просто. Отвратительный сервис, не советую на него рассчитывать. Ответить

После подтверждения бронирования мне позвонил водитель с жалобой, что он не знает, где мой отель, хотя был указан и адрес и точное название. Я отправил водителю смс с уточнениями и инструкциями. В назначенный день и время такси за мной не приехало. Я позвонил водителю и попросил объяснить его неявку. Водитель сказал, что он-таки не знает, где мой отель и вообще он далеко и за мной не поедет...
Я вышел на улицу и поймал такси всего на 15 бат дороже, чем предлагалось в приложении.
За сервис двойка, больше никогда не воспользуюсь приложением grab taxi... Ответить

Локально, между пляжами в два раза дешевле взять такси (не так тук). Причем можно торговаться.

Поставил, чтобы использовать в Таиланде, несколько раз вызвал такси, но местные водители были не в состоянии приехать к назначенной метке, после чего либо сами отменяли поездки в последний момент, либо это приходилось делать мне, т.к. машина стояла в нескольких километрах от меня со статусом «водитель прибыл». Видимо для них подъехать к метке на карте сложная и непосильная задача. А после всего этого мне заблокировали аккаунт и техподдержка отказывается его разбанить, мотивирую глупость водителей тем, что я нарушил правило использования. Такой феерический бред еще поискать надо. Не рекомендую. Ответить

I think I’ll stop using grab forever as it upsets me too much lately: a number of times I had to street hail the taxi because “finding you a driver” took 10-15 minutes with no result! And then after I restart the grab app twice (as there is no CANCEL button on the green booking screen - what a “genius” invented that?!) guess what I find out? “Yay, we found you a driver” - SERIOUSLY?! And now after a number of the times I had to cancel a ride which I didn’t even know was coming I’m losing rating points? Pfff no thanks. I’d rather take Uber. Ответить
