In better cases it allows to customize line height, page margins/width, 2/3 columns layout, and to create custom themes. In this app, it only chooses a theme.
And this poor usability is seen in all of the interface parts:
Add subscription doesnt allow to specify site URL. In present times, searching for RSS links on a page is industry standard de facto.
You also have Search for subscriptions… but it doesnt open typed text as URL at all, searching for it as keywords instead.
The other apps had no difficulties getting RSS links from the same URLs.
No way to choose font family from all fonts installed system-wide.
Even font size isnt customizable at all. (As mentioned before.)
Which lead us to the next problem: the article text is way too tiny on iPad, and articles list font is also miniature size. You see, the RSS app is mostly about reading, so text readability and aesthetics are the most important parts of user experience.
Another epic part: you can not copy feed URL. Even worse, all added feeds have no properties at all. You are not allow to customize how they are loaded and displayed. Groups dont have properties either.
If you feel this is enough, Ill remind you that we are on mobile device which is limited in memory by construction, but in the app you may not specify max cache size or clear cache and choose apps images download behavior.
The Newspaper view opens sites rather than article views.
It seems the app was made for its screenshots, just to be bought, and not to be used.
What I like: seamless OPML import, image viewer with Save and zoom.

Прога сделана на отъ… на отвали. Как будто только ради красивых скриншотов, из-за которых Вы её купите. Не настраиваются ни шрифт, ни размер шрифта, который по умолчанию крайне маленький, ни вообще ничего в плане отображения, кроме выбора из фиксированных шкурок (3 шт, из них 2 светлые). Нельзя указать лимиты по максимальному размеру кэша. Отвратительно. Пользоваться невозможно. Ответить
